Privacy and licensing¶
Version checks¶
The Exasol Launcher periodically checks for newer launcher and database versions. The request includes limited information such as the installed version, operating system, and architecture. See the Exasol Privacy Policy for details.
Both checks are optional. Disable them during installation when required:
The database-version option applies to cloud deployments.
Launcher license¶
The Exasol Launcher source code is available under the MIT License. You may use, modify, and distribute it under those terms.
Database license¶
Exasol Database is proprietary software provided by Exasol AG and is free for personal use. By deploying it with the Exasol Launcher, you accept the Exasol Personal End User License Agreement.
